There I was in my kid’s room reading them a bedtime story when my $7,000 dog(that’s another story) begins loudly barking, and running all over the house.
That’s pretty abnormal behavior for this chick. Meanwhile, Austin’s out of town so I’m on bedtime patrol. Our three-year-old is running around refusing to put on pajamas. I’m trying to get these two girls in bed and Lucy won’t quit barking!
I feel like I should go look, but I also don’t want my kid to know there’s a gun in the house… so these two pit mixes are gonna have to fend off whoever is in the house.
Now she’s not just barking, but barking and growling like a weirdo. Eventually, she quits, and I get the three-year-old wrangled, clothed, and did our bedtime routine.
I leave to go finishing cleaning up and lock all the doors when I see Lu. Lucy’s laying at the top of the stairs facing the front door and growling.
Now I’m really freaking out.
What’s in my house?
Our stairs have a landing and turn a corner. I reach that first landing and that’s when I see it.
Toilet paper.
Toilet paper, very recently worth its weight in gold, all over the front entryway.
I forgot to shut the bathroom door and my time-saving robot vacuum ate and drug toilet paper all over my house. Lucy was obviously mad about this, and now I was too!
Chaos. My life is now Chaos. Just like before Austin and I started budgeting.
Constantly juggling bills barking at our door, while I buy things I just threw in the toilet (Literally and metaphorically).
Some days it was just too much to handle and I would ignore it, but like Lucy telling me about the robot, there were tons of warnings.
Now we know how to budget like a team, and it all started when I told him I didn’t know anything about money.
If you don’t know how to tell your spouse you suck at managing finances, I got you.

Don’t live in chaos like me

P.S. no robot vacuums or dogs were injured in the making of this post…we don’t have the budget for that. Here’s that link again.
